National Economics University entered the top 101-200 in Goal 16 for Peace, Equity, and Strong Institutions with a score of 71.8/100 in the Times Higher Education’s The Impact Rankings 2022, standing at the top of the list among the Vietnamese higher education institutions.
On the evening of April 27, 2022 (19pm UK time, 1am Vietnam time), Times Higher Education organization announced THE Impact Rankings 2022 with the participation of 1406 higher education institutions worldwide.
With the mission of pioneering innovation, development, and dissemination of knowledge on economics, management, and business administration, National Economics University is honored to be recognized in the Impact Rankings of Times Higher Education in 2022. National Economics University is one of 7 Vietnamese universities participating in this ranking with Polytechnic University, University of Science and Technology. Ton Duc Thang University, FPT University, Hanoi National University, Phenikaa University, and Duy Tan University.
This is also the first year that the National Economics University has participated in the ranking and has achieved the rank of 601-800 on the overall roadmap for the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

In 2022, the National Economics University participates in this ranking for the first time with four sustainable development goals which are: Goal 16: Peace, justice, and strong institutions; Goal 8: Economic growth and decent jobs; Goal 17: Cooperation for Development Goals and Goal 1: Poverty eradication.
Participating in Times Higher Education’s social influence rankings of universities is part of the university’s development strategy. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, Rector of National Economics University said: ‘The general strategy of the university is to internationalize, gradually raise its position’. This year, the National Economics University was recognized in the criteria of internal governance and cooperation with management agencies at Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong institutions, with the highest score. 71.8/100. 101-200 is also the highest-ranking among universities in Vietnam in this goal in 2022.
The very positive ranking in this Goal 16 continues to affirm its position as a key university, leading in research and training in the fields of economics, management, and business administration.
In addition to target 18, the National University of Economics and Business is also highly appreciated in the criteria of Goal 8: Economic growth and sustainable employment with the rank of 201-300. This result also once again highlights the University’s parallel efforts in creating a working environment that creates maximum conditions and inclusive opportunities for the development of staff, lecturers, and employees. staff, as well as providing high-quality human resources for the country. This was the result of the joint effort and solidarity of each member and the school’s pedagogical team. With much effort, the National University of Economics and Business can completely reach the ranking of 500 overall in the Goals, and enter the top 100 with Goal 16 and Goal 8; top 300 with Goal 17 and Goal 1, in the rankings for the next year 2023.The school hopes to spread the values of sustainable development not only within the higher education institution but also more widely in the community through research, training, and social responsibility implementation.
