In the morning of May 6, 2022, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of agreement on credit recognition and student exchange between the National Economics University and Macquarie University, Australia was held at the National Economics University.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of Macquarie University, Australia, there were Mr. Matthew Monkhouse – Regional Director of Southeast Asia & Eurasia; Ms. Hanh Bui – Senior Manager of Global Admissions and Development, Southeast Asia. On the side of the Australian Government Trade and Investment Agency in Vietnam, there was Mr. Shannon Leahy – Counselor, Trade and Investment Authority; Ms. Hien Le – Business Development Manager. On the side of GSE Global Education Service Company, there was Ms. Julie Linh Doan – Director of GSE Vietnam. On the side of National Economics University, there were Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong – NEU President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the NEU Council; Dr. Vu Van Ngoc – Dean of the School of Advanced Educational Program, together with leaders of departments and faculties in the university.
At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong affirmed that National Economics University was very interested in promoting international cooperation in training, the development of bi-disciplinary training and a borderless learning environment, which are clearly new trends of the higher education system in the current context of the increase in autonomy and international integration.
According to the cooperation content, the National Economics University and Macquarie University jointly recognize credits for equivalent courses of training programs of the same major, allowing students to register to courses in the program between the two schools, share experiences and cooperate in building training programs.
