On the morning of March 3th, 2021, the National Economics University in coordination with the General Department of Market Management organized a seminar on “Training Humance Resource of Market Management to Meet Social Needs”
At the seminar, there were Mr. Tran Huu Linh – General Director of Market Management Department; Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa – NEU Vice President; together with heads of functional units of the General Department of Market Management and National Economics University.
Opening speaking at the seminar, Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa affirmed that in the context of economic integration and globalization, science and technology development, digital technology is applied to all fields of the economy. Only when the market management force is large and qualified enough, can they perform the assigned functions and tasks well. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Van Hoa emphasized that the National Economics University had collaborated with the General Department of Market Management to plan a university-level training program and curriculum, majoring in Market Management. It was hoped that the program would receive many contributory comments so that the training program framework would be comprehensively completed and meet the social needs of market management in the coming year.
Emphasizing the need of qualified human resource in market management, Mr. Tran Huu Linh – General Director of the General Department of Market Management said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade attaches special importance to the formal training of the market management force as a strategic task. Mr. Tran Huu Linh also affirmed that the duty and mission of the Market Manager is to protect the rights of consumers and businesses”.
Accordingly, in order to fulfill the mission and development strategy of the market management force in the period 2021 – 2025, with a vision to 2030, the aim is: building a modern market management force, reaching professional level; equipping modern technical equipment based on information technology application to effectively fight against smuggling, counterfeiting and commercial fraud.
At the seminar, with many contributory comments from delegates, the training program framework has been gradually completed. Previously, on January 4th, 2021, the National Economics University and the General Department of Market Management held a ceremony to sign the cooperation agreement for training bachelor in market management. This is a significant event laying the foundation for training human resource of market management with strongly professional qualifications, knowledge and skills to overcome limitations and weaknesses in public service activities.
